Famecount.com has announced Cristiano Ronaldo as the world's most popular footballer. Kaká and Lionel Messi have taken second and third positions respectively.
The website measured and aggregated the level of fame as per social media numbers. Ronaldo was ranked first in the list of most popular football players.

Cristiano Ronaldo has 32 million fans on Facebook, 3.7 million fans on Twitter and over 5 million views on Youtube. That makes a total of 40.2 million fans.

Kaka has 5.3 million fans on twitter, whish’s making him the most popular footballer on Twitter. He also has 10.7 million fans on Facebook. Lionel Messi has an overall of 23 million fans on social media.

I think Cristiano Ronaldo is the most popular footballer, because he is the most complete footballer. Cristiano Ronaldo got the looks, the attitude and the skills. A lot of women who watch football like Cristiano Ronaldo, but not only the female fans. So they automatically add the player on Facebook, Twitter to see what he’s doing.

Cristiano Ronaldo is very active on Facebook, he created an own game called ‘’heads up Cristiano Ronaldo’’.  The game is similar like the game ‘’bubble shooter’’. So you can see that Cristiano Ronaldo does a lot of things about marketing, he wants to create a good image and wants to be every year more popular. You can see the name Cristiano Ronaldo as a brand, and every brand needs marketing to sell it.
